Puffers are essential this time of year, but theyâre growing to outrageous new proportions for the season ahead. When the world is cold and uncertain, at least there is solace in a gigantic, wearable sleeping bag. (The appeal is so great that Thom Browne placed a model in a stories-high puffer at the center of its autumn-winter runway.) Gap and Banana Republic offer seamless, duvet-inspired coats, while Lululemon and Aritziaâs top-rated offerings are favorites among Glamour staffers.
6. The leather bomber
The â80s are slowly but surely coming back into vogueâand these leather and faux-leather bomber jackets are perhaps the easiest way to get into the trend. Bella Hadid and Sophie Turner are solidly on board, and Saint Laurent showed the layers for next spring, meaning theyâre not going away anytime soon. Style these sporty, edgy standouts with faded denim, sequined skirts, or black leggings (plus oversized sunglasses) to channel the stylish decadence of the decade.
7. The faux-fur layer
Basically every brand showed faux fur this season, proposing the luxuriousâand cruelty-freeâmaterial as the perfect finishing touch to any cold-weather ensemble. (We especially loved the takes at Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Michael Kors, and Simone Rocha.) Play around with different lengths, finishes, and silhouettes; you can buy into the leopard-print trend with Zaraâs coquettish jacket, while Scoopâs dramatic coat would pair gorgeously with your collection of gold jewelry and hair bows. And yes, this means the teddy coat in your current collection is trendy again for the season ahead.
