Wyndham Clark apologizes for outburst during final round of PGA Championship

There are a lot of emotions that percolate during a round of golf.

This principle rings true for anybody who plays the game, whether on a casual or professional level. When history and legacy are on the line in the latter then things can up a little bit more in intensity.

It seemed that this was the case on Sunday at Quail Hollow as Wyndham Clark seemed to get upset after a drive during his final round of the PGA Championship.

Clark was displeased about what happened on the tee at 16. In the moment he turned around and threw his driver and damaged it along with a sign from T-Mobile. As noted, T-Mobile happens to be a sponsor of Wyndham’s.

It was obviously a moment that Wyndham wants back and he said as much with an apology that he shared to social media on Monday.

Clark noted that his emotions got the best of him with these uncalled actions and called them completely inappropriate.

Good on Wyndham for getting an apology out quickly.
