Amal Clooney Hard-Launched Bombshell Blonde Highlights at the Venice Film Festival

It’s been a very glamorous few days for Amal Clooney, who has treated us to a whole series of stunning looks while supporting her husband, George Clooney, on the press run for his film Wolfs at the Venice Film Festival.

First, she kicked things off with a white leather strapless dress for a Cartier party. Then she slipped into a chiffon yellow mini dress while strolling alongside the Grand Canal. The international human rights lawyer wore a midnight blue strappy gown for an evening of socializing with George, before finally choosing a pale lemon yellow corseted lace dress to take to the red carpet. And while each outfit was exquisite, her hair was undeniably the show-stopper.

Debuting a lighter hair color, Amal had blonde and caramel highlights sprinkled through her dark brown hair to lift her deep brunette base color. For her first hair look (which can be seen here), her hair stylist and makeup artist Dimitris Giannetos described her long, straight, voluminous style as the “Italian Sophia Loren blow out,” nodding to old-school Italian film history. The thick, swishy style gave us all the hairspo we needed.

The second style was a little looser, but still with tons of bounce and volume—and the wavy texture made the ribbons of caramel highlights through Amal’s waist-length hair stand out even more.

The third-style was slightly side-flipped to create extra oomph through Amal’s long, layered hair (long layers can be notoriously difficult to coax volume from). You can see that photo here.

Last, but certainly not least, Amal’s fourth style was sleek and straight through the roots, then waved just at the ends to create some flirty movement. Again, Amal’s hair was flipped to the side, with her pale yellow Versace corset dress really bringing out the gold tones in her highlights.
