However, it took Jimmy Fallon pointing out her lack of footwear for me to even notice the 49-year-old actor was missing a key part of any ensemble. It turns out, all Jolie needed to promote her new film Maria was a classic black boatneck dress and a black cherry pedicure.
Of course, there was a practical reason for Jolieâs decision to ditch Carrie Bradshawâs favorite accessory altogether. âI broke my toe yesterday, and I tried to find a comfortable shoe, but I just decided to not,â she told Fallon.
Perhaps it was the elegant way Jolie was sittingâwith her feet arched as if held up by an invisible heel like a standard-issue Barbieâor her sheer confidence that allowed the power move to go unnoticed.
