Goodbye, black swimsuit; hello, brown swimsuit? According to the trends hitting the stores ahead of summer 2024, that seems to be the case.
There are classics that never fail, and many of them involve the color black. Take the little black dress, black jeans, and of course, black swimsuits. A black one-piece with straps and no embellishments is a closet staple and returns every summer, including this year. However, this go-to will not be the swimsuit of 2024, because an equally flattering swimsuit is poised to overshadow it: the brown swimsuit.
Maybe for a long time you were part of the big club of people who disowned this color. However, in autumn 2023, you, like many of us, ended up embracing it in your pants and tops as part of a “quiet luxury” vibe. If so, this summer you should dare to wear this shade beyond office looks and embrace it at the beach.
The reason? They are everywhere in our favorite stores and swimwear brands. It may seem a strange choice (brown at the beach?) but its actually just as flattering as black.
