Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s Latest Exhibition Will Give You a Buzz

Most South Floridians spend a lot of time trying to avoid the bugs buzzing around us. But this summer, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will transform into an entomological wonderland that promises to draw you to the larger-than-life critters.

Highlights of the “Bugging Out: A Bugs World but BIGGER!” include a brand-new butterfly pavilion featuring free-flying Blue Morpho butterflies, after-hours “Wander & Glow” evenings, where illuminated insect sculptures and twinkling lights create a magical nocturnal experience, adult-focused “Bug Bites & Brews”—a 21-and-over affair—featuring insect-inspired cuisine and craft beers, and “Big Bug Cinema,” outdoor movie nights showcasing insect-themed films under the stars.

The inaugural four-month exhibition runs May 23 to September 28 from 10 am to 5 pm.

Tickets are required to attend and are $24.95 for adults, $17.95 for Seniors (65+), $11.95 for Children (aged 3-11) and free for Fairchild members and kids under 2. For more information, visit fairchildgarden.org.
