Prince Harry Is Sure His Response to Those Meghan Markle Divorce Rumors Will Be ‘Twisted’

Prince Harry can’t keep track of all the rumors surrounding his marriage to Meghan Markle.

On December 4, New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin boldly asked the Duke of Sussex about buzz surrounding the couples’ recent solo ventures during a panel at the 2024 DealBook Summit. Basically, people can’t fathom why Markle has been attending to her own business in LA while Prince Harry has been traveling all over the place for events like this one. Never mind how many adventures the pair have experienced together over the course of 2024.

“I Google Newsed you, and there were people fascinated by everything you’re doing, all the time. They’re fascinated by Meghan is in California right now, and you’re here,” Sorkin mentioned, per People. “And there’s articles left and right about, you know, ‘Why are you making, doing independent events? Why aren’t you doing them together?’”

Sorkin wondered if, in some way, all the speculation works in the couples’ favor—perhaps in an “all press is good press” kind of way? “The second there’s an article—she’s in California, you’re in New York—they say, ‘Well, what is happening with these two, right?’ Is that a good thing for you, in a way, that there’s so much interest in you?” Sorkin asked.

I bet you can guess the answer. “No, that’s definitely not a good thing,” Prince Harry replied. With a laugh, he reportedly continued, “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what? It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it.”
