Sorry, Swifties. Taylor Swift might be too busy celebrating her birthday to announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version) on December 13. Yes, the “22” singer is officially feeling 35.
While Swift spent the day before her milestone birthday making TikToks with patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Us Weekly previously reported the pop star is “likely” heading to New York City for the weekend. “She loves a quaint party with her closest friends,” the source said earlier this month. “Taylor is excited about turning 35. She knows she’s accomplished so much.”
Last year, Swift celebrated her 34th birthday in NYC, surrounded by the likes of Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, and many other famous faces. Unfortunately, Travis Kelce could not see his girlfriend’s sparkly Midnights dress in person due to his NFL schedule.
This year, Swift’s birthday falls just two days ahead of the Chiefs’ away game in Cleveland on December 15, meaning a trip to NYC is likely out of the question for the 35-year-old tight end. Considering Swift just finished traveling across the globe for the Eras Tour on December 8, she might prefer to host her birthday bash in Kansas City after all.
Either way, sources say Kelce is determined to be a part of the action. “Although he’ll be playing on Christmas and has an away game the weekend of Taylor’s birthday, Travis is going to make sure to take time out to celebrate both occasions with her,” a source told Page Six on December 5. He has allegedly been collecting presents over “the past several months.”
