Should we be reading into the fact that Taylor Swift wore a monochromatic blue look for her star-studded Manhattan dinner party on September 11? If this was any other celebrity, I’d say of course not. But this is Taylor Swift we’re talking about, and she made blue the official color of the era when she announced the upcoming release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
Accompanied by more A-listers than you’d find at the average Met Gala table, Swift went out for dinner at Emilio’s Ballato Italian restaurant in NYC wearing a metallic knit minidress in an eye-catching shade of periwinkle blue, with a pair of suede platform sandals in a matching hue. For accessories, she piled on several gold chain necklaces and carried a cream-colored shoulder bag, finishing with her signature red lip, naturally.
Everybody knows that Swift rolls deep, and her well-heeled crew for the evening included Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum, and besties Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. The conspiracy theorist in me can’t help but notice that Lively—whose children Swift has name-dropped in several songs—also wore blue.
