Women of the Year 2024: Everything You Missed at This Year’s Show

Another year, another successful Glamour Women of the Year event in the books.

We celebrated our 2024 Women of the Year (WOTY) honorees—who this year include Suni Lee, Taraji P. Henson, and global honorees Serena Williams and Pamela Anderson—with a swanky celebration at The Paradise Lounge at The Edition Hotel in Times Square on October 8.

Here’s everything you missed from inside the party:

The Red Carpet

The event kicked off in style with a red carpet, which was live-streamed right here on Glamour.com; the carpet was a high-fashion affair hosted by 2023 Woman of the Year Brooke Shields and her eldest daughter, Rowan Francis Henchy.

The Honorees and Guests

As mentioned, Glamour’s 2024 Women of the Year include: Olympian Suni Lee; actor and entrepreneur Taraji P. Henson; actor and producer Sydney Sweeney; and abortion activists Hadley Duvall and Kaitlyn Joshua. This year Glamour also honors the moms of some of the biggest stars in the world, including Tina Knowles (mom of Beyoncé, Solange Knowles, and “bonus daughter” Kelly Rowland), Donna Kelce (mom of Travis and Jason Kelce), Mandy Teefey (mom of Selena Gomez and Gracie Teefey), and Maggie Baird (mom of Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell). Allyson Felix is the winner of Glamour’s 2024 Face of Change Award, presented by #SmartTox. Our Global Women of the Year are Pamela Anderson and Serena Williams.

And those are just the guests of honor! Also in attendance were presenters Demi Lovato, Billie Eilish, Finneas O’Connell, Sophia Bush, and Kelly Rowland, as well as notable guests like CNN’s Abby Phillip, political staffer Huma Abedin, and socialite and model Jordyn Woods. The New York Housewives—new and old—were also represented by Bethenny Frankel, Brynn Whitfield, and Ubah Hassan.

The Show

Before the show, guests enjoyed cocktails at the #SmartTox bar and terrace, hosted by Xeomin, a Women of the Year presenting sponsor. VIP guests mingled at the #SmartTox lounge and terrace, and were served Pure Celebration (sparkling rosé) and Pure Inspiration spicy margaritas.

The Batala Drumline got the party started with an electric performance, followed by an upbeat freestyle from the Tony-nominated group Freestyle+. They were followed up a bit later by a stripped-back rendition of an unreleased ballad by Kelsea Ballerini, who performed at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards with support from Pantene, and she wrapped up with a cover of Bill Withers’s “Lean on Me.”

It was during Ballerini’s performance that a special guest—Beyoncé herself—arrived at the show.

Demi Lovato presented the Face of Change Award, presented by #SmartTox, to Allyson Felix, while Sophia Bush introduced abortion-rights activists Hadley Duvall and Kaitlyn Joshua. Brooke Shields and Rowan Francis Henchy returned to bring Donna Kelce, Tina Knowles, and Maggie Baird to the stage.

Everyone at Glamour would like to extend a very special thank-you to our sponsors. Without them, Women of the Year would not be possible.
